SFI
Sustainable Forestry Initiative
The Sustainable Forestry Initiative program (SFI)is a comprehensive system of principles, objectives and performance measure developed by foresters, conservationists and scientists that combine the perpetual growing and harvesting of these with the protection of wildlife, plants, soil and water quality.
The SFI Standard and all aspects of the program, including chain of custody certification and labeling, marketing and promotion.
This forest certification standard is based on principles that promote sustainable forest management, including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and forests with exceptional conservation value.
Our company is both FSC certified & PEFC certified giving our customers (including organizations and associations whose platforms and missions include environmental responsibility) the confidence in knowing that their products meet the most stringent environmental standards.
With these certifications, we can apply the FSC logo to any job printed on paper that meets the proper FSC certified credentials or we can apply the SFI logo to any job printed on paper that meets the SFI certified credentials. While we can only use one logo on the printed piece, in both scenarios the certified paper starts by being cut from a well-managed forest or other certified source, is processed by a certified mill, is bought and distributed by a certified reseller, and finally, is printed by a certified printer. All of these certifications express a concern for maintaining, conserving and developing forest resources.
